The Consortium For Street Children Kenya ("CSCK", "we", "us") is a national platform uniting community-based, faith-based, and non-governmental organizations working to protect and restore street-connected children in Kenya. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through consortiumkenya.org.
We collect information you choose to give us directly, plus some anonymous traffic data described below.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site (e.g. which pages are popular, how visitors found us), so we can improve it. It uses cookies, and only runs if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner when you first visit. If you click "Necessary only," Google Analytics does not load at all. You can change your choice anytime via "Cookie Preferences" in the footer. We've enabled IP anonymization, so your full IP address is not stored by Google.
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not sell or share analytics data with third parties beyond Google acting as our data processor for this purpose.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and process the information above - a cloud database provider to store it, an email delivery service to send confirmations and receipts, and our bank (DTB) and M-Pesa for payment processing. Each only receives what it needs to perform its function, and none are permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
We keep personal information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law (for example, financial records related to donations may need to be retained for accounting and audit purposes).
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) if you believe your rights have been violated. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
While our programs serve children, this website's contact, donation, and newsletter forms are intended for use by adults - donors, partners, volunteers, and supporters. We do not knowingly collect personal information via this website from children under 18.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you share with us, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
If you have questions about this policy or how your information is handled, reach us at info@consortiumkenya.org or +254 721 650 075.
